Harriet Piper is on a mission to share Yoga, Puppetry and Ayurvedic Yoga Massage.  This is her story...

She graduated from London's Central School of Speech and Drama with an MA in Advanced Theatre Practice, specialising in Puppetry, in September 2010.  Years later, in January 2016, she went to India for 6 months to complete her Yoga Teacher Training, 200 hr Yoga Alliance.  As she began studying yoga in depth she felt drawn to combine her love of yoga with her love of puppetry.  In September 2016, her Peaceful Puppets were born. And she has been delivering Peaceful Puppet Yoga to children ever since.

Harriet has over 7 years experience working with children (including those with severe learning difficulties, both physical and mental) as a teaching assistant, learning mentor and workshop facilitator.  From September 2010 to December 2013 she worked full time as the head of The Pupil Development Centre at St Mary Magdalene Primary School in Peckham, working with vulnerable children on developing social and emotional skills- usually using puppets.  After this she went to South America and Indonesia to continue to share puppetry in various schools and community centres there.  She later returned to London and began working with vulnerable adults, delivering puppetry projects for the Single Homeless Project, London.

After India she returned to London and her passion for sharing her yoga practice began- she worked as a freelance Yoga Instructor for companies including We Train Fitness12 Rounds Boxing Gym, Five Star Health and Fitness and Fiona's Yoga Centre.  In the meantime she learnt Ayurvedic Yoga Massage from the exceptional teacher and massage therapist Ananta https://www.anantamassage.com/, completing levels 1-4 in September 2016.   In January 2017 she worked as a freelance yoga instructor and massage therapist in Morocco, working for companies including Surf Maroc, Surf BerberZen Surf and Olo Surf.  In July 2017 she returned to London to complete her Level 5 Diploma in Ayurvedic Yoga Massage.  Meanwhile she continued to bring Yoga and Puppets to children and adults.

In September 2017 she arrived to Ibiza in a beautiful green people carrier called Luna which contains 18 Yoga mats, a Yoga Puppet Show, Puppet making materials, Yoga games for children and equipment to deliver an Ayurvedic Yoga Massage.  She is very grateful to continue to be amazed by the extraordinary effects of Yoga, Massage and Puppetry in bringing people into a more relaxed, focused, joyful and meditative state.   She is still, in 2020, most often in Ibiza or London but remains open to travel to wherever she is called...
